Welcome to Upper Hutt Swimming Club
Hello and Welcome to Upper Hutt Swimming Club. Our club is an Incorporated Society run by parents for the benefit of our kids. We are a small family orientated club with an average of 50 learn to swim students and 75 competitive swimmers.
Learn to Swim
Learn to Swim is based at Trentham School Pool and runs all year. Training sessions start from 6:00pm and go through to 8:45pm. Each session lasts for 30 minutes on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
Registration days are always published in the Upper Hutt Leader and in all the Schools Newsletters. To move up to swim club the swimmer must be competent in all strokes and be able to do 100m freestyle.

Swim Club
The swim year is from July 1st to June 30th, and it is split into four terms. There are two swim nights at H2O Xtream; Monday and Wednesday from 6:00pm to 7:15pm – you may choose to do one or both nights. We also offer swimming at Stokes Valley Pool on a Thursday night. Competitive swimmers can also do early morning training from 6am to 7:30am. Swim club swimmers are expected to enter local competitions.
Term Fees are as follows:
Swimming New Zealand fee $90 per year.
Monday night $35 per term, Wednesday night $35 per term,
Once a month the last monday, during the year a club night is held. Here kids swim in timed races. This gives them experience for competitive swimming, earns them points for trophies, and allows the coaches to track the children’s performance.
